6 Puskesmas Proposed to Be Sub-District General Puskesmas

South Jakarta Health Sub-Department has proposed six urban village's community health centers (puskesmas) to be upgraded into sub-district general hospital (RSUK). Those puskesmas are Kebayoran Lama, Kebayoran Baru, Pancoran, Setiabudi, Cilandak, and Pasar Minggu.

“There are six puskesmas that have been proposed to be general puskesmas. We'll do survey to make sure its feasibility,” said Head of South Jakarta Health Sub-Department, Yuditha Endah Prihmaningtyas, Tuesday (4/14).

According to Prihmaningtyas, some criteria that would be able to upgrade the puskesmas level into general puskesmas. They are each land must have a width of more than 2,000 square meters, have between 40-50 inpatient rooms, 2 poly and internal disease rooms for children.

“The availability of inpatient room is still lacking, thus it needs process for further improvement,” she explained.

She added currently, at Tebet Puskesmas, only having 20 inpatient rooms. “Therefore, we’re still doing a deep study and looking for a larger land for general puskesmas,” she finished.
